Unusual Music Competition

category: music [glöplog]

Hello. I want to announce an Unusual Chiptune Music Competition

For classical music only.

Don't you mind anything. It is hard.

You have to produce a replica of known classical music piece of your choice. Preferred composers are from this very list: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Classical_music_composers_montage.JPG#mw-jump-to-license

The piece should run on retro-computer platform of your choice. It can be beeper, AY, SID or MOD format. Use of automated converter tools is allowed, given you can fix the result manually afterwards.

More rules and prod uploading system are available here: https://events.retroscene.org/undefined2023

Undefined demoparty and diy electronics fest will happen 2023.08.26, with the compo deadline set to 15:00 gmt+3

Website: https://undefined.chaosconstructions.ru/

I hope you understand the idea.

Also I really want to see examples of such competition already done. If you see some, please give me a clue.

Look what I have found: https://youtu.be/273MozvD4_w

Important note on the competition: if you can make old retrocomputer sound like a classical orchestra, it would be cool, this competition is for you. If you are planning to make a cover in pop-style with added drums, note that it is NOT what I initially wanted, but it may still be acceptable.
