Analog video capturing on MacOS 10.12

For a long time I've been using a cheap "EasyCap" USB dongle from China for capturing videos from retro computers like Amiga, C64 and so on. It worked like a charm with a software called EasyCapViewer v0.5 (and v0.6 which was the last, the author stopped developing it then). It worked on my old Mac with 10.8 pretty well. But after I upgraded my computer with an SSD and upgraded to the latest verison of the MacOS, the software crashes the computer to the Mac's Grey Screen of Death :) I installed the old OS X version just to have an option to capture analog videos and it works in this way, but still. I also tried a Windows PC, software like VLC or so, but with very bad results - bad picture quality and very laggy sound. None of them had comparable quality results like the EasyCapViewer 0.5 running on the old OS X.

Does anyone know if there exists a working and cheap solution to capture analog video sources on the latest MacOS?
