Revision 2015 - 3rd to 6th April - Saarbrücken, Germany
category: parties [glöplog]
Thnaks for your work! Now will check the 2.800 pictures! ;o)
Photowall Gif-animation. :o)
there you have next year's entry for the animated GIF compo... oh wait, it's already released!
Hoppla ... ;o)
I noticed I haven't written anything about how I felt the party went, but I think this picture says it all:
I love you guys.
I love you guys.
hooooray \o/
I need to remember that next time I go to a party and drink alcohol with friends I deserve to be robbed because I may accidentally push somebody's chair and forget to say sorry. Shotgan, dude, what punishment do you wish on people who step on your foot, do you hope they get cancer? Funny thing is, many of the guys you despise so much came there with quality prods and won prizes. So, please, don't take people at face value because you may end up very wrong.
Speaking of karma, there was a slide circulating on Saturday which asked some people to move their cars away from the fire lane. At some point I heard an announcement which went somewhere along those lines: "We're grateful to our East European scene friends for removing the problem of cars blocking the fire lane". I have no idea who said that but it went over the speakers so I assume it was an organizer. To make things clear, none of the licence plates listed in the slide were from East Europe. Then, just a few hours later, we know what happened.
I'm not trying to imply there's any relation between those events. I know the orgas were really helpful to Ghostown guys and I know that a lot of sceners contributed with money. I just wanted to say that we can't expect demoscene to be free from people who are racist, criminals or just rude but it's important to show them they're not welcome, which I think people at Revision did by helping our friends in need.

Do we? I don't, and I'd rather not make any wild guesses ;3
@Feli Please don't put words in my mouth or put things out of context.
I don't wish anything bad for anyone.
And I don't know if the second part of your message have nothing to do with me, but just in case and as I said in some message before, I wasn't generalising about polish, just referring to some specific guys from Poland. And I'm against too about the statement about the eastern europe plates.
Said that, sorry if I've been misunderstood, my main language isn't english and maybe I wrote something confusing.
I promise that I'll invite anyone that have been upset to free beer next revision :)
@gargaj Really nice picture :)

@Knoeki: Ghostown guys were robbed, as discussed a bit above.
@Shotgan: Peace, man. I suggest next time you find somebody sober(ish) and explain your problem. We remove bodies if requested.

Even more Slengpung pictures, and remember, we support SceneID now for commenting <3
The Danes can confirm that drunkenness will not lead to you getting robbed, rather the opposite - we usually leave richer than we came.
Bit late but just wanted to say thanks for making our first demo party such an amazing experience :) Great to meet everyone and already got some ideas for our next prod!

This was a fantastic Revision! Talked with so many friends and people again, probably missed out on talking with just as many other individuals despite being in the same hall. There was something exciting to do everywhere and all the time. I didn't spend as much time at the fireplace this year due to the cold weather. Nevermind the preselection, gives me a chance to really finish my track before I release it somewhere. Just a bit sad I spent so much time on the track during saturday whereas I should've been partying instead.
Food was great! Organizers were great! Will be there again next year! :)

Can confirm just being drunk won't get you robbed. If it did, I'd have been penniless three times over (and as always, apologies to those that did not enjoy my drunk self's flailing attempts at conversation). I rarely leave parties richer, though; DUB might have to show me that particular trick sometime.
Oh and Dwarf, I think I speak for all of us when I say that anyone from DUB is welcome in poo-brain if they like.

EAT-DRINK-FUCK: we're already in you! :)
the DUTCH POOP BRIGADE
heh. I'm in the photowall pictures, but not on any posted to slengpung (yet).
I shudder to think what the Dutch Poop Brigade would do during democompo's given DUB's tradition of pants off.

Fei: For the record, I did notice the "eastern european" comment on the speakers, and thought it was pretty bad form... i might have misunderstood something but even we danes took notice. I love all demosceners equally and I could name a hundred western european sceners who have acted like tards throughout the years.
Not gonna turn this into a big PC-fest as it was probably either a misunderstanding or a poor joke by someone who hadnt slept for days, but still. All kinds of discrimination needs to go, especially in the demoscene - we have so long been the refuge of the weird kids. Lets not mess that up by caring what their passport says.
I hontestly don't remember such an announcement. And it's also quite weird since none of the cars blocking the fire lanes were from eastern europe...
i dont think it was an official one no so no biggie - honestly didnt think anyone else noticed :)
I don't think it's a "big PC-fest" to say that something was most likely just an oversight and that no malice was intended but that it still could have struck a very bad chord with part of the audience. This whole "don't say anything or people will think you're overly PC" mindset you're supposed to adopt on the Internet is just as bad as people who are actually overly PC.
I had noticed the announcement as well, and had the same thoughts about it as nic0. However, I chalked it up to being an unreflected slip made by someone sleep deprived and stressed out. :-)
