Funnily I met an unnamed groupmate of Pixtur's at a small tech seminar last week who complained about all the dark and gloom in recent Still demos. Serves him right to get his eyes burnt out of his skull. :P

i had my problems getting it to run.
steps:
- extract archive
- start player.exe
- no crash or anything, but no window shows up and logfile gets created but is completely empt
- hooked in with the debugger and it had some dll load exception in bass.net.dll
- copied the contents of the Lib/x64 folder directly to Lib folder and got a little further ... window comes up shortly but raises a first chance exception in sharpdx_direct3d11_effects_x64.dll
- copied all Libs content directly to base folder and now it runs ...
Any idea why?

This free going nonsense is fresh and all, but even though it tries very hard to please, I really can't thumb this up: it looks rushed, the color saturates to ugly hues, the sync and flow don't nail it, and please, do something about that unicorn animation.
I'll wait for a proper final, because this has the potential to be ten times better.

You play a dangerous game, starting with lowpoly and glitchy dolphins. Luckily it's long enough that the quantity of bad taste objects and design reaches critical mass and wins :D Still diggin on the slomo narwhal.
an i have to add: making something with massively saturated colors and NOT losing all the dynamic to clipping colors deserves respect on the technical side :)
I wonder if the idea for this demo came from this post on the paintovers thread. They even included the same or similar Ford Mustang model. :) Have to wonder what other tributes are in there.

I really don't get the hype
I love the basic idea of this prod - the beginning is straight from a cover of cheesy 1990's trance/techno compilation CD. And in many ways it works ... After the credits there is a bit too long dragging sequence with the dolphins and whatnots - perhaps appropriately when compared to many less-than-stellar 1990's trance/techno songs that drag on too much without having a good "catch".
After that the pace seems to pick up again, but there is slightly too much randomness, end third looks more and more like a dumping ground of random 3D objects. Generally the idea and the music work very well, but having just a bit more actual content would've worked better.
Few more ideas parodying the cliche's of the very genres this demo seems to be an ode to (or mockery of), would've raised this from an "okay" to a truly funny classic.
