Nice demo overall. 3D world part reminded me Love Gun for ZX and Numen for XL/XE, which were released long ago, so this time it isn't impressed me much. I've more liked the rotazoom effects.

Holy fucking hell, completely unreal. I can't begin to understand how some of these things are possible on that hardware. I also really liked some sync cues between the visuals and the music, such as the filter modulation connected to the flipping image. Solid!

... Also, nice treat to see Archmage's work in this prod. I didn't know he was active on the C64 scene but there you go :).

I had seen previews of JackAssers parts before and while they were cool(especially the amazing 3d world) I wasn't expecting that he would be able to put it together to such a great show, even when it turned out he had teamed up with Booze Design.
Great music, graphics and flow. A new high point in JackAssers demoscene career, and a proof that Booze Design can succeed just as well, or even better with smaller demos.


Congratulations on missing what many think is the most important part of the scene, making the best and fastest code.

wow! this is Numen for the C64. Imho better production than Edge of Disgrace. Sound and overall style of this demo is just more of my taste.

Would be interesting to see, if that 3D engine could be ported to other 6502 based computers like the Atari XE.

Neat, but I felt direction was lacking. Some parts with really cool effects set a really good pace in the beginning, and then I saw rotozooming checkerboards and a 3D world for about five times as long as they would need to make a point. Still a thumbup though.

Wow! just tried the doom portal rendering doom_workstage.d64. I always assumed such scenes were "pre-calculated polygon-list based anims" in c64 demos and that the real effort was in the compression. Very impressive to see it runs smoothly realtime!

Unique sound! Very enjoyable; effect and presentation wise this kinda underdelivers in my opinion. Still easily worth a thumb!
