If that can't produce any exe, I fail to see how this is a demotool release, it's only a demopack release in that case, since it's not able to produce anything, unlike Werkzeug.
Since I hate demotools, I won't complain anyway ;)

As for the exe producing: our aim with these releases is mainly to show people how we do things not to do stuff _for_ them. Plus we never had a "make exe" button :D

Zoom must be totally out of his mind! I can't even imagine that he did thoose beautiful things in that tool. While trying addict2 I got this feeling of Blender.. You know it's possible to make some really nice things with that software, it's just impossible to understand how! ;)

I'll have fun weeding through it once I'm actually back behind my own desk, but lose the "tool" aspect.
ATG files don't generate themselves either - in your aspect, half of the demotool category is just "thing" :)

I really feel sorry for those, who can't understand why isn't there the MAKE.EXE button.

Zplex: people always had the chance to send us projectfiles and then we would make .exe files from it, and some people actually did (mostly non-sceners). But yet I have to see one that looks at least semi-decent and doesn't use recycled scenes from the enclosed projects :)
