- demo Atari Falcon 030 It's that time of the year again by New Beat [web]
- Probably the first Hires demo from beginning to end!
Good use of Blitter, heavy task in 8 bitplanes 640x480 60Hz ;-)
Design and sync is always nice with New Beat and I like this funny Fish :D - rulezadded on the 2020-07-05 06:21:07
- demo Atari Falcon 030 Electric Night by Dune
- Thadoss is in the same league than DML, Anima or MiKRO... no need 060 accelerator board to make impressive effects.
The GFX of MIC are great (as usual) and releases a nice eighties ambiance.
The 505 music spreads also this old (and great) atmosphere.
The first place ? Well deserved :)
We are happy to own a Falcon with such demo, thank you. - rulezadded on the 2016-11-27 06:29:35
- demo Atari Falcon 030 Zero Three Zero by The Pixel Twins & Excellence In Art [web]
- @Sdw:
A FPU is very common on Falcon for two reasons:
First, there is a socket for this co-processor on the motherboard (as opposed to STF/E or Amiga 500/1200).
Second, the shops sold the Falcon with this copro (without breaking the warranty) for only 63€ more (300FF), cheaper than a game!

- With DML, everything who seemed impossible on a 1992 computer becomes possible, amazing!
An accelerator board are useless with him :D
Real time Raytracing on a standard Falcon is almost witchcraft =)
Read the nfo is as impressive as watching the demo !!!
I also like the design (fractal / enigma transition), the discrete electron beam that passes from time to time, the simulated CRT (curvature), etc.
The music is also excellent.
Congratulations, a milestone in the oldschool computers demoscene! - rulezadded on the 2015-12-24 21:39:31
