- demo Windows afri-demo by afri-cola [web]
- Funny... who would have thought that the members of fr would try to make a living in the real world? :p
Come on people... just think, the company paid them to do this, and we get it for free. What's so bad about that?
Yes, the media world is taking over what was once an exclusive domain, that of visual effects. It was inevitable - why? Because it looks cool, and people like things that look cool. They will also pay a lot of money for things that look cool.
But... this is the scene. The scene is (mostly) about "made by sceners, for sceners." For free, because we want to have fun, and it's not fun anymore when you have to pay to see art.
Anyway, I'll watch this when I get home. And I think it'll be good from what I've seen written above.

- intro Windows bits salad 2 by Razor 1911 [web]
- A few mip-mapping uglies, but nice idea. Could have had a few more interesting things in it like BitsSalad had, maybe even some text...
So... Good job, but could have been better, IMO. Deserves one modest thumb-up. - rulezadded on the 2002-05-12 20:46:47
- 4k Windows bp_degenerat by Fuzzion [web]
- Strange, but somehow oddly somewhere in the ballpark of a good idea.
Very zippy code, but I think you could build on this and actually make a nice 4k!
Like, more than one sound... and maybe some slightly changing colors or something... I dunno.
So, meh... it's okay. Make it better and I'll give you a rulez! Hey, even get drunk again if you have to. :) - isokadded on the 2002-05-10 01:51:24
- demo Windows In Da Kitchen by Syn[Rj] [web]
- Um, okay.
A little too simple for me. Just an objectshow... - isokadded on the 2002-05-04 19:42:28
- demo Windows In Da Kitchen by Syn[Rj] [web]
- You could have told me that earlier, jeez... I downloaded it 3 times trying to get a "good" copy... on a modem :(
Lol, I'll go see it now... - isokadded on the 2002-05-04 19:09:03
- demo Windows Edge Of Forever by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Stunningly, awesomely beautiful. There's not a single word that describes how beautiful it is.
I loved the combination of accelerated and software graphics all at the same time - very nice visual tricks, transitions, everything.
The music was good, but you could have left out the newsman's monologue, and added a fading echo to Ellie's dad's voice at the very end (it seemed to cut off to quickly).
The combination of the two at times made my eyes get all watery :,)
Definitely one of the best 11MBs I ever downloaded...

- demo Windows LINEAR by Creative Mind
- Okay, it must just be me, but I think it rocked =)
The music was good, the gfx were okay to fantastic, and the overall idea was great.
I especially liked the spinning tunnel scroller... I'm sure it's nothing that hasn't been done before, but it sure did look cool! Especially the sun shining in the windows - very nice effect with the "LINEAR" on it...
Good luck with your next prod! - rulezadded on the 2002-04-17 08:51:00
- demo Windows B10 by Satori [web]
- Holy mackerel. This is my new bestest favoritest demo, and I'll tell you why. First, my comment:
Awesome music, awesome gfx, overall awesome idea. I love the whole chaotic theme of everything, and it all seems to flow nicely together. And the sync? Second to none.
Do you want to know why? Here's the best part.
The demo takes it's cues right out of the XM file! Insert your favorite *.xm file in place of b10.xm (appropriately named, of course), and you have a new demo! Ever wish someone made a demo with your favorite song? And with awesome sync, to boot? Now you can have it!
Of course, chaotic multichannel XMs work best, but anything will do.
satori/Elwood, anyone?
MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Satori, i love you! ^_^ - rulezadded on the 2002-04-11 01:15:33
- demo Windows fr-020: in control by Farbrausch [web]
- Very nice. I don't know what to call it - newschool is probably the closest classification I can think of.
The music, gfx, and speed were all good, and it looked cool, so I give it a thumbs up!
The style is not missing here - it's almost dripping with it. Well worth the DL, I say. But then, I like almost all of fr's prods, so... try it yourself! *plug plug* - rulezadded on the 2002-04-02 09:11:30
