• Nice way to get started with shader programming. It's like an offline Shader Toy (with sourcecode). I already had a lot of fun playing with the enclosed raymarching sample. Thanks for sharing!

• I'm on an AMD system as well and I get the "Error result 3 returned..." or a crash as well. Both with VS 2008 RTM and SP1, Windows 7.
  
  My laptop is XP and Intel-based, and on that system everything comes up roses.

  The effects and timing are perfect, and there are a couple of great unexpected moments in there. I was surprised it was only 3rd at NVScene, but only until I saw what they were up against...
