• Question to the experts: I noticed that even this fantastic music is using separate voices for left and right channel. Since the 2600 outputs mono anyway, why not assuming both channels as one? That would result into 30 different volumes instead of 2 x 15. Of course multiple voices would still have to be mixed, but this would be more flexible. And the TIA volume compression could be considered easier too.
  
  At least in theory that should sound even better, no?
