• yes, if 100 are considered extreme. It's a geometry shader fired in a 3d grid, snapping to and walking a sdf, rendering flat but shaded ribbons. Supersampled and with ssao.

• I'm usually not a fan of these realistic rendered fractals - but this has kinda enough "structure" to it (the face, the crab..) to be interesting. Also what blackle said.
