- 32b Apple II spiraling shape by Desire [web]
- if I had known how much people would like the sound I'd have added it to more of my other intros. It does take up 3 valuable bytes though (BIT $C030 to toggle the speaker, if you're curious) and the end result doesn't always end up sounding as nice as it does here

- 16k Apple II double double by Desire [web]
- should add some info. This is showing off some of the "double" modes available on later Apple II models (the IIe, IIc, Iigs). This includes double-hires (140x192x15 colors), double-lores (80x48x15 colors), 80-column text, and a few other weirder things. The extra trickery here is it's detecting the VBLANK (IIe, IIc, and IIgs have mutually incompatible ways of doing this) and doing some mid-screen mode switching.
I made this at the request of an emulator author, as there wasn't any sample code out there doing mid-screen switches in the double modes. This does break various emulators (MAME especially) but AppleWin does a decent job. I had already released this to the public, and also some of the resources (especially ths music, which is from FF7) aren't fully original so that's why I didn't release it at a party. - isokadded on the 2023-05-24 16:07:37

it was a disappointment to see twice the "KING" bitmap in the source code
true, true. I was really trying to get the one message variant to fit in 141 bytes for the Apple II bot and just couldn't get it to happen. When the dual variant fit nicely in 256 bytes I didn't optimize it as much.
I'd say I was keeping it generic so I could change the message to something that didn't end in "KING" but I bet the passport util would like the extra bytes back - isokadded on the 2021-07-14 00:49:02
- 256b Apple II Thinking/Cracking by Desire [web]
- this is nostalgia for 1980s Apple II users. The "PrintShop" program for making posters/banners used to do a THINKING/PRINTING animation like this as you slowly printed stuff on your dot matrix printer.
I made this 256B "THINKING/CRACKING" version as a joke, but it's since been included in the PASSPORT cracking tool as an easter egg you can unlock. - isokadded on the 2021-07-09 14:39:31

- 256b Apple II NeverGonna by Desire [web]
- I should try to find a few more bytes so I can make it start out as a seirpinski and then jumps to the rickroll
it was hard getting the music to fit there, it was slightly animated originally but had to rip that out for the sound support - isokadded on the 2021-03-16 14:53:00
