- yeah, some of them are just the same code as the vista screensavers with the same name. hypnobloom and distortion are -my- faves. Ver 2 will be mindblowing, I promise :D

- Weyland, do you have a video card with ps 2.0 support? All the blur and color sloshing is done in GPU, so that the CPU load would be minimal.

- So to clarify: this is an installer for a bunch of 3d visualizations for windows media player - not technically a demopack or a music disk, sort of both. These were first shown at the BlockParty 2007 party to Trixter, Blackpawn, S_Tec, and a few others.
Angry flames about visualizations not belonging on pouet can start .......... now! - isokadded on the 2007-08-08 03:12:32

- Hidden in the vis preset names are greetings to ACiD, Andromeda (software development), CNS, Trixter, all the Northern Dragons who helped make and test this (and some who didn't, heh), and the FR gba coders, for the upcuber name. Yes, I know they're not cubes. Thanks to Willbe for making the demovibes mixes that make these look the best.

ah, 6600gt, not 6800gt, typo.
current drivers.
It's not my machine that has the problem - next time, try testing your stuff instead of getting mad at your audience. You'll find other people on this thread reporting the same bug. - isokadded on the 2007-07-13 19:27:09

oh, it's shiny on the inside. That's nice.
For version 3.11 of your demo engine, fix the desktop flickering and the slideshow framerate (on a gf 6800 gt, no less). - isokadded on the 2007-07-10 00:08:15

maybe it's just me, but the more external libraries a prod has to use, the less it feels like a demonstration of skill, and more like a cobbling together of other people's stuff. Do you really want a demo with no original coding?
I wet my pants at Evolution of Vision until I realised all the interesting coding was in Intels OpenCV library. Then I thought well, it's nice design, and well executed, so it's still great. This didn't have either. - isokadded on the 2007-07-06 21:13:58

- ryg: Check out the seminar Trixter did once the video pops up on the blockparty website... in order to get the a/v synch, he's got the soundcard (the only element in the machine with a reliable timer) initiating all the video transfers. So the machine essentially has a sound card-driven OS. My brain fell out when I heard that.
