- 64k Linux Windows ephemera by Approximate [web]
- Nice one, especially the textures made me forget that I was watching a 64k. The tools seem to be capable of much more though: looking forward to see your next production...

- Could this one take Tube's place in the all time top?
Totally sick stuff. - rulezadded on the 2009-09-07 18:21:06
- 4k Windows yes we can by Quite
- Like it or not but to me, this kind of stuff is quintessential of the demoscene. Not counting the size constraint, it also shows something that's difficult to reproduce with authoring tools other than low level programming/shader languages. It tells apart motion graphics from demos.
I love the way Quite handles math and fractals. It's better than watching 3D-based demos where you can name the tecniques employed in each scene or point to the paper where they're coming from.
Sorry for the rant. :) - isokadded on the 2009-08-31 22:13:51

- demo Windows Chameleon by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Among its siblings (Metamorphosis & Midnight Run), this is the one I like most. It's got that "what will happen next?" feeling that holds my attention till the end, music is good, lyrics too. Even though (to be honest) I can't really relate the images to Navis' "explanation" of them. Is he serious, when he raves like that? :) Not to take anything away from Chameleon's worth, I like it better and watched it more than, say, Frameranger...

- 4k JavaScript zoom!
- Eagerly awaiting the .js shadebobs, not.

- demo Windows Memento Mori by Loonies [web] & Brainstorm [web]
- Nice and moody. It's got a high result/effort ratio, which isn't a bad thing. I'd have avoided the "transition to white" and the "death star balls". Thumbs up for me anyway.

- demo Windows Wrath by Matt Current [web]
- Coherent and not overdone, shows dignity and class. :)
Definitely one of my favs from this year's asm. - rulezadded on the 2009-08-14 13:11:54
