- demo Commodore 64 MD201512 - Humbug by Cosine [web]
- Yeah, it's a brilliant picture and the original artist is credited in the scroller because i just did the conversion (with my own, rudimentary tool) and added a few tweaks to use 8x1 pixel attributes and PAL blended colours. Spectral's got credits in it an' all.
And there are C64 ports of Spectrum graphics dating back to the 1980s... =-) - isokadded on the 2015-12-25 22:03:17

- Ooo-kay, so i was just expecting a sea of "sucks" for this release and instead we're talking about tools... is Pouet cheering up for Christmas or something? =-)

- i've noticed the lack of tools yeah, i think the only A2-specific tool i've used so far is CiderPress for building disk images and everything else is either multi-platform like ACME or something i've thrown together that is more user hostile than anything else. If i can find a way to make my converter a bit more intuitive it might escape, but i haven't looked at the code for several months so there's no guarantee i even remember how it works!
The lack of documentation (or more accurately, good documentation) doesn't help either... - isokadded on the 2015-12-16 11:14:36

- My tools don't usually escape! =-)
At the moment it's just a couple of routiines that yank in a BMP, mangle the pixels around and push out the result as raw, there's nothing "user friendly" right now and a few [ahem] quirks that need dealing with before i'd even consider inflicting it on other people. - isokadded on the 2015-12-16 09:50:11

- My converters tend to be foir taking a picture that's already been processed/ edited for their target machine and pushing it out as raw data for the assembler. The intented target was an Apple II with green screen, but i tried to keep the artifacting to a minimum on colour displays as well.

- Yup, i was using the image to test my BMP to Apple II converter a few months back. There has been a little manual tidying up to reduce artifacting on colour displays too. =-)
