• By the way iq, you don't state nowhere that you are really coding by plotting the pixels?
  Are you merely copying all of them from the already assembled result, viewed as an image, or are you really viewing and creating the thing by viewing the colors as opcodes and registers and calculating values and jumps in your head?

• I did such a thing quite some years ago, I had found some dos opcodes that bluescreened my windows box, and i phoned my brother in another town who had the same type of motherboard.
  We had no internet, he had no hex editor.
  I had my .com file with a few opcodes in it.
  I had the idea of allowing my brother to produce the same binary by plotting pixels in mspaint, and I told him what to draw by phone. I think I used bmp.
  He probably got the same binary but it didnt crash his box though.

  It's just, I watched it, and at that very moment, it had something. There are times like that. Maybe the fact I had headphones helped.

  Well, to my eyes this is the proof that something indescriptible can make a demo stand out and be absolutely unique.
  
  First, music is half of the demo.
  And music here is just surreal, I think this makes the experience almost mystical, maybe it's because of the mood I'm in.
  
  Then, the graphics are maybe made out of simple things and really nothing is technically close to groundbreaking, but it's not trivial either ; it also seem tailored and on a par with the music. It's not some random noise.
  
  I so wish there would be more, especially since it gains strength and momentum before the crash.
  
  Indeed, it really HAS something special for me.
