I'm not automatically averse to repetition. I know Uncle-X isn't. He has made some damn impressive demos made all the more powerful by the way they linger on scenes and effects, driving them through with a combination of finesse and obstinate force. Demos that leave you wanting more.
I didn't find myself wanting more halfway through this demo. Maybe the aesthetic just isn't for me, but I didn't feel like the repetitive approach works here. There simply wasn't anything left to experience.
Solid work and obvious heaps of effort, though. Not to mention that it's still a hell of a lot more interesting than a Sierpinski screensaver, which is apparently the only thing some fundamentalists manage to produce in a timespan of 15 years. - isokadded on the 2022-08-10 06:54:54
