- Just brilliant.
Reminded me of Eight Scenes of human life by Traction, except it's happy.
Lemme guess...Ah, yes, the cubes.

- Maybe we can see this in shadertoy?

- Well, you should not be that ironic :)
On some forums you realize there _are_ people that can _think_ in hex for opcodes and registers. For the nonlinearity, you could be writing routines in advance at obvious offsets and then be jumping to them, and you could have predefined colors and use only simple opcodes. Of course, getting it right in one go seems next to impossible. BUT, experience has told me that on the internet, you should always consider the possibility that some seemingly impossible skill is real. There are semigod with long experience in their domain, and because in your village you're the best doesnt mean somewhere on the whole earth, there isnt a russian genius that owns everybody else!
Then you'll just be sorry to have called him a liar.
Anyway nice concept and execution!

- Aside from that, music was not my taste, but hey.
Theres a huge quality difference even between the party version (which is pixelperfect) and the slowest-nicest final.
The party version is the most beautiful and impressive mandelbulb I have seen interactive or realtime.
1680*1050.
So yes, yes, it's 5-10 fps, but it's state of the art, it's cutting edge, it's what you've never seen. It's what demos are.
Should be noted that my 295 is not sli now(triscreen).
So, could be a 260+.
Had you only done the fast version, it would have been another of the successful attempts at realtime mandelbulb, but with massive quality compromises.
Instead, now, as soon as you will run the party version on hardware that delivers solid 30 to 60 fps...
It will be regarded as a milestone imho.
Well done.
Praise the shaders. Praise the code.

- Okay, I hadnt understood the party version was 4K.
You did it, that's what counts.
Thumb up. This is absolutely awesome, 4K generating such detailed and complicated mandelbulb patterns.
The party version is about 5-10 fps on my 295, which is slow, but seems pixel perfect, the slowest-nicest final is 15 fps which is acceptable, and the fastest is 60 fps but pixellated. Quite a difference!
However, demos are what they are, experimentation whith hardware to produce things not seen before.
If this needs a monster card to work, it's its right.
Thanks for producing this.
You show what can be done with state of the art hardware and very high skill.
I remember someone on a forum that said mandelbulb realtime was not even close for many years.
Demoscene is there to deliver.
Praise the mighty GPU king!

- Good and impressive, probably from code and math point of view!
Still, rules are rules, this is not a 4K :) - isokadded on the 2011-04-30 18:59:01

- Graphics are really hilarious, i love that.
Music is just right.
You always have a feeling of danger and emergency cause your dude crawls like a turtle.
Thank God you got unlimited grenades.
The catch is, you can throw them only a bit far ; when they are too close, you're screwed. Explosions only ushed them in the wrong direction.
171 kills.

- They also carefully design their bitmap so that it triggers a buffer/stack overflow when saving the file, starting a chain of event that ends up executing their "picture".
