- demo Commodore 64 Mortalis Arisen 100% by 64ever
- After Krill's comment (and Dane's on CSdB), I could discuss the music (personally, I feel this is some of my best work), but there's no point, really. The way something is perceived, especially graphics and music, is highly individualistic, and relative. As far as I am concerned, expect a lot worse (or from my viewpoint, better :) in the future. Same goes for colours. The mold is there to be broken, and reinvented.

- Thanks for the positive comments so far :). I would like to point out that the coder is very young, and he wanted to do these "already seen" effects in a demo at least once in his life. Me, I always wanted to do a "Flip Disk" part with Graham's effect, so I can perfectly understand his feelings.
To me, this demo is not about breaking code records, it's about putting in some good oldskool pixel/code/composing/syncing effort to combine effects and create an nice show to watch. And I think we pulled that off quite nicely.
Furthermore, we had a great time creating it (it's almost sad that it's over now), so Mission Complete :). - rulezadded on the 2006-03-07 15:16:23

- Can't believe I haven't voted for this one yet. Someone noted that everything had been said, but I'd like to add that I loveloveloveloveloveOOOOlovelovelove the *starting descriptive engine _v_001* metal-twisting-shining-bar-thingy. Slick, gorgeous, neat, what is there not to like from this burner apart from a slight discrepancy in the original-artwork-department? ......... Actually, nothing, zip, nada, zerosville. Go HCL! Go Dane! Go Jailbird! Go Booze Design!

- @Scamp: press fire button, you can shoot your weapon while in wheel-mode and kill the monsters that way.
Oh, and I'm still waiting with a final verdict until I've completed the game in the normal way. Worth a thumb up regardless. - rulezadded on the 2004-08-31 16:27:32

- @Gargaj: No, you weren't the only one. But even as it was on the bigscreen, I found the intro strangely compelling... the travelling particles felt definately H+. There should've been more content, yeah.

- demo Amiga AGA Respirator Stories by Ephidrena
- The Amiga compo at BP04 was a battle of titans - the fact that this stunning demo got 3rd place is proof enough. I did like the MaWi+Susp demo more, though.

- Pfft, they should've made this in 64k... those extra 32k feel like cheating. ;)

- demo Amiga AGA Atari Falcon 030 Silkcut by The Black Lotus [web]
- Brought the house down at the party, along with about half of the other Amiga entries. I could only shake my head at the barrage of kickass effects and scenes. Absolutely brilliant. Question, though: anyone know what the stagemaster is saying? I can hear 'Breakpoint' and 'Swedish' in there, but the rest is a bit hard to interpret...
Anyway, huge respect! I shall not rest until I've made something comparatively powerful on the c64. - rulezadded on the 2004-04-16 09:30:09
