• A bit torn about this. It's simply too slow, even on the (imho too fast) compo machine. Not a big fan of the noise, I can guess why you did it, and it may work better at full framerate (and now it destroys the video version). Apart from that really gorgeous and different! looking, will probably be great in a few years on faster hardware. I think it should have been left in the drawer until then :)

• That screenshot effect was the definitive highlight of the compo, the rest feels quite disconnected.

• Scene and lighting is quite nice (though it doesn't really go anywhere), but the dof/bloom filter doesn't do anything good to it.

• I don't really get what that pony picture is supposed to be? The frame looks mostly like a window, but in that case the lighting is completely off (no matter if it's colored glass or the outside world), while the image impression would fit a tv set, but then there should be a proper frame.

• While I'm glad a more "serious" demo took the actual win, this is just great, and generally what gloom said.
  ...And that perfect voice imitation at the toilets Monday morning (while everyone brushed teeth etc :)

• Black screen on r9 290 (though the shader compiles fine).
  And while at it you should probably fix the beforementioned slow light propagation (i guess it's better to update the whole buffer per frame and have a bit lower fps than fuck up the direction).
  Still, for a production this great I can't hold back my thumb until it's fixed :)

• While being awesome in the compo it was clearly less so in the hall on youtube/laptop speakers afterwards. However, back home with proper sound and realtime it just rules again. The unfiltered noise (too bad, youtubers!) just works wonders for the concept, and overall it becomes one of the very few 4ks where the technical concept hits bulls eye and you don't feel it's being limited by being a 4k.
  
  Btw, it really begs for high framerate, and is quite heavy (720p runs 33fps on my 390) - maybe we could get a version with fewer samples? (and a 60hz youtube) (in fact I already started dissecting the shader looking for easy gains ;))

• I don't get the fuzz about this. (Too) low performance for pretty standard rendering and content, and some quite random camerawork with all that senseless rotation (and near gimble lock flips), and being mostly a rehash of 2nd stage (which was imho much more solid with it's straight line approach). Feels too much an attempt to tack a "story" on a raymarched fractal flyby. Barely top 5 in THAT compo imho.

• btw, stops here after a second of rendering on nvidia 860m, while it's "working" on intel with a funny blue triangle in the upper left corner. (on the 970 it's working, but still too slow to be enjoyable with the pace it has)
