- 64k Windows Vortex - Digitally Remastered by Digital Dynamite [web]
- I'd like to say for my defense that doing "goa" in 16 kilobytes, without
a good deal of monotony and loss in soundquality is quite impossible without a softsynth =)
congrats to the coders/modeller, it was really pleasing to watch. - isokadded on the 2002-08-26 14:52:27

- This disk rules!
imho Beepdealers is a highly talented group, each member has his own great style, and most important: The 'content' of the pieces is just fine (it's not like some well-produced happy chips which don't contain any real feelings). My favourite track: Plopp by Lithis&Malmen.
:D

- musicdisk Windows dawning of the music 1 by Dawning
- wow! I'm really impressed by the tunes ..
lithis is a new artist to me - interesting, hope to hear more from him soon.
I think the interface is quite ok (the GFX rules), of course next time we'll have some more features, but still, good job CD and Raist! - isokadded on the 2002-04-21 21:04:40

- Interface is nice, maybe handling by keyboard is not the best idea but it's at least oldschool. Tunes are average (but if you like ambient then I guess this one is a must-have).

- demo Windows grudge by Dawning
- hee I'm responsible for the music - sorry if it's "broken", but the FMOD playback was a bit fucked up - when you play the tune in XMPlay or IT it should sound like a 'normal' HC tune :)

- musicdisk Windows Alien Chill Farm by CoolPHat [web]
- Positive things first: Well-designed interface and a huge amount of tunes. But now for the negative ones - first of all, the playback routine uses FMOD which most definitely doesn't replay some of the tunes correctly (crackle, distortion). Secondly, the quality of the tunes is quite low (also in comparison to Coolphat's previous disks). Alas, even much-admired Vim did not give his best on this chipdisk.
So as a conclusion, this disk was not really worth downloading for me. (probably in the end it can all be blamed on using FMOD as a playback utility - I bet the tunes sound way better played elsewhere) - sucksadded on the 2002-02-22 14:45:25
- musicdisk Windows chipmusicdisk #2 by Rebels
- I love this disk!
excellent design, a secret screen, and moreover loads of nice tunes..
what hempest wrote above pretty much sums it up.
and xerxes's track really scared the shit out of me :)
certainly a must-download, probably 2002's best chipdisk! - rulezadded on the 2002-01-12 16:04:10
- musicdisk Windows Microbial Illusion 2 by CoolPHat [web]
- What I don't like is the distortion and that a lot of songs in this disk are of rather bad quality.
But that put aside, there are also some very fine tunes on this disk, and you don't get 50 chiptunes at a time so often :)
However, I'd recommend to go for quality instead of quantity next time. - isokadded on the 2002-01-12 15:57:36
