- The fact that it got disqualified doesn't detract from its beauty.

- 256b ZX Spectrum 480 shapes of grey by Busysoft
- One of the underrated prods IMHO but it's difficult. During byte battles people throw trigonometric functions left and right whereas humble Z80 doesn't even have integer multiplication. Just to calculate the point distances required to draw concentric circles requires pretty smart code and a lot of upfront cost in terms of lookup tables etc. So, it's only when you take this into consideration that it all starts to make sense.

- 256b ZX Spectrum Sonar by Joker [web]
- In my opinion underrated. But that's what happens when many platforms (and voters oblivious to them) are conflated.

- intro ZX Spectrum Hole #11 enigma by RMDA [web]
- As always with the Hole series, original approach. No harm in using BC though especially given severe restrictions. Consider that you could have added sound :) Cheers and looking forward to the next one.

- demo ZX Spectrum Down by Life on Mars
- I've been binge-watching demos recently and wondered if I ever thumbed up this one. Well, I'm doing that now. It's very polished and ironically, after a decade of multicolor engine exploration it kind of stands out. It's a neat little demo with hypnotic quality if you watch it in a dark room on a big screen.

- demo ZX Spectrum Real Action by Reaction
- Enlight 1997 was a tough competition to be in but over the years I found myself returning to this demo quite often. It's polished, it's got a nice flow and a good sound track to match. I can't pin-point the reason exactly but it's one of my all-time favourites for sure. I just like how it's all put together.
