- musicdisk Windows micro v2: elek.tro by Chemical Reaction [web]
- let's see.. hmm..
"sqrt: DOMAIN error"
err, right.. yeah, that's what i get between each track. that's some badass code there, gents...
at any rate, lots of cute chip tunes on here, though i'll dispute the definition of elektro. for the size it's pretty cool, and it's a nice enough looking interface too.. the opening track, bzl's "e-business" is pretty rockin' and the rest is good too, even though a lot of the tracks are a bit samey unfortunately.. i don't normally download musicdisks, but this was at least worth my time..

- obviously an in-joke, but a stupid one..

- 64k Windows touching you with noise by Flo [web]
- absolutely brilliant.. good and appropriate noise remix of the dune tune, beautiful visuals, font works.. images even seem to have some sort of progression.. for anyone who wants to see a top of the line art demo without spending a lot of bytes, you must download this... fooking rocks.

- demo Windows vapaa valinta by Matt Current [web]
- i liked it. maybe i'm not too picky these days, but the music was good, especially the rhythm programming. visuals were a little different and the presentation was stylish (if a little too red).. good stuff. i don't think the widescreen format really added much though (apart from maybe letting the coder make slow routines look smoother by not having to draw as many pixels)...

- demo Windows liquid by Mikro
- well, i just love the look of this.. the effects and graphics really do have a neat, retro 80s cgi / oldskewl videogame in hires look that i find really charming.. the music fit too and the sync was perfect (and it's cuter and smoother than any winamp plugins).. so i'm thumbing it up, but just barely.. my main problem with this, is that with a decent softsynth this could've easily been a 64k.. instead it's > 4 mbs!

- demo Amiga AGA sumolysbryter by Ephidrena
- obviously this doesn't run on uae. so could someone either a) host an avi or b) host the music as .mp3 or similar quality format? i heard that the tune was kickin'...

- 64k Windows for screening only by Spinning Kids [web]
- uhm, i like old sk stuff, but this is lackluster. a fairly dull scene for 11.2 seconds. wow. and uhm.. radiosity seems like a good idea, but why does it have to look so much like gouraud shading with a noise filter applied?
anyways, they admit that its just a trailer, so no thumbs down 'coz i want to see what's next. - isokadded on the 2003-03-03 10:54:35
- demo Windows byzantine by Unique [web]
- music's good. effects are really cool. better code than most of these type of things. but also less focused and messier than these type of things should be. really, uhm, "interesting" color scheme. anyways, not real pretty, but it messes with one's head and rocks anyways.

- demo Windows Jesus Christ Demostar 2.0 by TBC
- very fast and smooth on my gf2 mx.. reminds me slightly of alien prophets but cleaner and more consistent design.. nothing terribly original.. even the pretty design is a little cliched (lots of arrows!).. the music is great though, the effects are well executed and even the scanned photos work really well.. so, yah, my favorite demo of the month.. oh, and it has vu-meters.. vu-meters are hardcore.. woot!

- intro Gameboy Advance oldschool memories by Tristar & Red Sector Inc. [web]
- Inopia: did say "with a few more extra graphic doo-dads".. thank you for explaining them in detail form me. i know there are better gba demos, but i still think as a "new" platform we have to expect things like this as people get themselves up to speed with developing for the machine. you're right though, it would have been nice to see even very basic use of all the hardware. but it's heartwarming too see an old familiar name from my childhood.. and unlike some other oldskewl names, with some of the same people involved. looks like pretty soon this will be one of the most "popular" prods on here. ;)
