- demo Windows ix by Moppi Productions
- I'm sorry it does not work on all machines. It uses some nVidia extensions to do some of the effects. We'll (or I'll) make a final version where the effects can be disabled, or they will be using the new fragment shader stuff. Stay tuned :)
The older Radeons will not render this demo well because the framebuffer->texture copy is so utterly crappy&slow on those cards (the demo should run just fine on the new radeons after I have fixed the few things). - rulezadded on the 2003-08-11 16:50:18

- I have to check the shadow stuff on my new machine (same display card), when I have time to do that, and maybe upgrade the shadow rendering stuff to use more up to date stuff too. we are working on the "final" version... will be ready when it's done ;)
Knife and fork... well the idea there was to visualise the thing that usually the children are the same as their parents. Meaning that if your parents has dropped shit on you, you propably continue dropping the shit too. In this case it means that the girl is no different than the father... in some... level... i... guess :)
Actually we have rewrote the story, but the original elements are still there, so if you know the original one there can be some stuff you have "skipped". Or it can be also that we could not have made our point clear anough... :) - isokadded on the 2003-02-01 02:19:27

- spengler, ripped? from where? dont say wagons christ record cover, because that's not true (I saw the the cover after we had made gerbera, dont remember who pointed that out). The characters come from our demo Gerbera. This is kind of sequel to that :)
Thanks for the positive feedback, good critisism. Gotta focus on the playability more next time... lesson learned :) - isokadded on the 2003-01-20 16:07:17

- jazzman, next time I'm making game, I ask you to beta test :) You propably asked the same questions everyone else is pondering. Here's the answers:
what does dig/pile mean? must i click on the dig/pile buttons once (like a toggle) or more than once to make the robots execute the command repeatedly?
Dig, and pile are the commands. Once you hit a column the comand is give to the selected tribe (the meter is lit differently). There is a comamnd queue, that is, each time a robot has idle time, it will try to complete the next command.
what does it look like when a dig or pile is executed anyway?
When the tribe has accepted the command, a flag (flower) will be placed on that tile.
does the tile color have any meaning?
Tile colors have meaning. The dark tile cannot be dig (if the land is low), or land cannot be pilet on it (if the land is high). Also if a robot digs from other tribes land, the other tribe will get more sad.
why does it say "3 of 4 robots saved" when there are much more than 4 robots around?
The goal is to save certain amount of robots, not all.
why can i put more than one flag on a tile when the flag just indicates "don't dig or pile here#?
The flag indicates that you have ordered a command to be done on that tile, not the other way round (hmm... I really should check what I have written to the docs :)
why does one of the little red dots above the mood meter turn yellow when i place a flag?
The dots means the number of commands you can give to certain tribe. A lit (yellowish) dot means that you have ordered a command. You cannot order more than the amount of commands you per tribe. That is, if all the dots are lit, you cannot order more commands.
can i take flags away again?
use the undo button. (the yellow one) - isokadded on the 2002-12-29 02:40:10

- rasmus, the idea is to get the robots to their homes (blue ones to blue nest, etc).
I know the game is quite hard to understand at first but... read the <piip> manual ;) (if it helps) - isokadded on the 2002-12-28 18:02:26

- Great demo, a bit too dark at some places, but the design is _very_ good. I'm also waiting for the final version. And it was nice to see you Neonray at ASM :) Good luck!

- lugBOOber: yep, we got the initial idea from HC Anderssen's story, but if you analyze the story in our demo and also the original Little Match Girl, you will notice, that the punch line of the two stories are all different. Yes, there should be some kind of credit to the Man.
Shifter: Hmm.. um .oh, it shouldnt do that :) Have you tried upgrading your drivers, does all the other FMOD demos work?
Iblis: I have no experience how p-buffers works with AA. The too-much-light -problem is caused by lack of p-buffer in the shadow rendering code (maybe out of memory or something). Try to upgrade your drivers and if that does not help, well... I'll see what my machine says when I put FSAA on.
We are working on the final version. As usual, it's out when it's ready. I had very little time to do the animations, so I'll refine some (most) of them. We would like to redo some of the cameras/cuts and timing also. - rulezadded on the 2002-08-06 14:34:49
