- 32k demo Atari VCS Derivative 2600 by Cluster & DMA [web]
- Two nice world-firsts in this one!
Filled vectors on the VCS? And with rubber-effect as well, cool stuff.
The screen-wide scroller is also a real advanced effect, that I doubt people who don't know 2600 internals will understand just how difficult it is! :) - rulezadded on the 2015-06-21 10:46:13
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Gagrakacka Mind Zones by Disaster Area [web]
- This was nice, blobs with shadows looked cool!

- demo TRS-80/CoCo/Dragon nyan cat dragon 64
- Much technically impressive stuff going on behind the scenes than most people realize I think. Just the fact that it plays music means that almost 100% of the CPU cycles are used for that.

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Planet Rocklobster by Oxyron [web]
- Real early-90ies feel to this one!
And speaking of the early 90ies - As an Amiga owner back then I remember starting to glance with some envy on what was happening on the PC (game and demowise) at that time, and two things that impressed me were the Comanche voxel-based game, and the fractal zoomer from Crystal Dream 2, so seeing similar effects on the good old Amiga 500 is quite nice! :)
The demo mentions some kind of readme with all the juicy technical details, where would I find that? - rulezadded on the 2015-04-18 12:25:18
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Sushi Boyz by Ghostown
- Keep the OCS rolling!

- demo MS-Dos 8088 MPH by Hornet [web] & CRTC & Desire [web]
- Worthy winner for sure, the essence of demomaking on display here - making cool-looking stuff on hardware that really shouldn't be able to do it!

- demo Windows Ziphead by Fairlight [web] & Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- Straight up professional - that's the best way I can describe this. Everything about it (rendering quality, music, art direction) somehow conveys that the people who did it are really, really good at what they do, and the end product shows just that. Top notch!

- demo Windows Oniria by Brainstorm [web]
- Lovely music, and warm, colorful visuals. I think technology-wise it's almost simple enough that I could have coded it (and I haven't coded any PC-demo stuff since early 2000s) but it does not detract from the final, result, rather the opposite.

- Not only us oldschool guys likes coding twisters! :)

- 4k Atari VCS Coke Zero by JTZ & Skyrunner
- Nice to see some VCS presence @ Revision this year as well.
The effect is ace, I guess most people won't realize just how much cycle counting and fiddling must have gone into this. But full 48 pixel sprites with full movement, with the extra color coming from the ball (I guess?) that also has to be moved... crazy!
Haven't looked at the source code yet though! :) - rulezadded on the 2015-04-06 19:13:28
