- demo Windows Cafre by Stravaganza [web]
- Nice design and colorscheme, the music actually boosts this demo very much! As long as you like hardcore, that is... :-) In all, very very nice.
Also, it ran quite nicely on a TNT2 - rulezadded on the 2003-11-13 18:11:54
- 4k Windows Optimustro by Raiders Of The Lost Empire [web]
- This and this are far better. Optimustro doesn't show anything interesting but its small size gives it a piggy.

- demo MS-Dos SpDemo by Nemesis
- OK, this needs some explanations...
It's one of the very first (if not the first) demo from a greek demogroup called Nemesis, namely three university students (Laertis, Jorge, Zeleps) which advertises a (then) BBS called Spectrum. Mostly intended as a fun prod it consists of many dot and bitmap rotation effects, as well as shpere texture mapping. All this may seem quite boring by todays standards, but back in 1994 (not sure about the month) it was really something for the greek scene. It has no sound/music and from what I recall, it is written entirely on asm.
Also, I have the feeling that even Nemesis don't have this demo anymore, which was quite nice since I bumped onto it while testing demos on dosbox.
Of course the screenshot is wrong because of the well known pouet problem. - rulezadded on the 2003-10-23 02:18:32

- game Windows Frontal assault by xzm
- Lame idea, ugly textures / models, no playability and it's boring. I don't see how someone would be playing this after 20 minutes.
nice fonts / menus, okay-ish music, though. Oh, and I don't like ddr-like games. - sucksadded on the 2003-08-24 17:47:23

- 64k Windows Zoom 3 by AND [web]
- Watching and hearing this on the party stream was jaw dropping for sure, so I can only imagine what happened at the party place. I so much wanted to see this on my own computer and I was particularly stunned by the quality of the voice synth.
Imagine my disappointment when I learnt that the speech synth was actually the one built in windows. I was further let down seeing how much cpu/gpu power this needs. And even more seeing the blurriness hide half the intro.
Nevertheless, zoom3 does induce much adrenaline, the end result works just fine, the robot rocks and the overall quality of the 64k intro compo at asm03 was relatively low, so, it definately earns a thumb up. But I can't help feeling a bitter taste about it.
About the speech API, I hope most coders realise how lame it is to use it and how much more lame it will be to use it *again*. It's ok if AND dared to use it once, if we keep watching demos with it it's going to suck big time, even more than legos if you ask me :-) - rulezadded on the 2003-08-13 16:02:10

- ASD are back with their most mature production so far. Building on top of their traditional quality of blending spectacular effects with transitions, producing a unique experience that few other groups can achieve , they added a more consistent color scheme and a musical score which mixes several known styles into one quite original sound. The result is awesome, a five minute trip that indeed can only be described as a dream.
An incredible piece of work for ASD. Congrats! - rulezadded on the 2003-08-13 00:02:05
- demo Windows ix by Moppi Productions
- A great idea and a beautiful execution by Moppi. Infact, melon coulld use a couple of design lessons from these guys. Excellent collage of textures, nice rendering technique, indeed this could be a video-clip and noone would notice. My only complaint is that it is very slow. And it's not demopaja, legomania was fast on the same pc.
