and of course the point has never been "DTV bad", but there's a lot of hypocrisy around the "video versions are teh futare" people :)
Okay, let me add my two noob cents to this.
Back in the days I when I had bandwidth and DTV still had their NSV streams up and running I was watching it almost every evening with some mates. Drinking beer, and asking ourselves how these awesome demo ppl code such things[1].
So we happened to see Heaven seven for the first time on the stream, we really loved the demo for its mood, the soundtrack and the visuals. So we tried to get more information about it, and found out that its a 64kb demo.
Bricks were shit..
In short:
DTV has its right to exist, YouTube and Capped are good if you don't own the hardware to see it in all its glory. Nothing beats watching it realtime _without_ glitches, blue/black screens or audio only.
