Random Conspiracy Theories

category: general [glöplog]
Ooh, next time I get a crackpot email to my university account I'll have to post it here.

Seriously, the economy tanking has forced several people off their medication; the 'secret of space mirror' guy primarily. The only thing I've ever gotten out of his emails is that somehow there's a giant space mirror that reflects the light of the Sun (which is the only star), and this somehow solves global warming, the theory of General Relativity, custard cream pies, etc etc...

I also get random biblically-induced notices from people.

when a subject is not the subject of any real debate but at most a heated consensus there are every reason in the world to approach it with caution. I agree to his point on there being no real debate on the subject, and as such I am cautious about forming any kind of oppinion. Nomatter how bizzare a case you have, with a little work you can always dig out a whole pile of "experts" from the woodworks who will agree with you. This topped with a one dimensional press coverage and you can effectively make people believe in anything..afterall, the experts are experts you see. Having been working with weather for most of a life is apparently not being expert enough to demand a proper debate without being spoken spitefully to for being "a mere weatherman".
