Menu program for demo CD-/DVD-ROM
category: general [glöplog]
Is there a program out there that you can use as a menu system for DVD-/CD-ROM with demos on it? I only hacked together a little HTML/JScript page that scans an array of folders ("<group> - <demo>") and uses a screenshot and readme.txt in the folders to generate a HTML page where you can run the demos from (and play the soundtracks if a sound file was found). Looks like this:
Of course basically it sucks. A program autorun from the disc that scans the folders and generates a 3D rendered menu to run the demos from it would be great (or maybe uses a pre generated XML file as database). Something like that already out there in teh internets?

capped.tv kiosk? :D
It's only for videos. He clearly wants to run executables.
well, there's a menu system at least. maybe micksam7 could give out the sources so people modify it to do exactly that? :)
You can try and ask him. :)
Oh hi!
...I'll see what I can do. ;P
