I can't help remembering this: Carl Sassenrath (now managing rebol) often pass his hollidays in france, because he also trades wine. On summer 2006, a few french amiga fans was invited to meet the master in the south of france... and fuck: I was asked to come by the guy who organized the meeting, and stupidly refused :( ... I guess the obligement interview was done there.
