I still can't see how this suggestion could NOT be breaking up a thread, making it hard to floow. You know, there ARE posts that are semi-serious/semi-fun, so it would take a lot of discipline from the author (and quite a lot of time aswell, as Shifter intelligently mentioned earlier) in order to keep the thread readable.
Anyway, it also makes sense what Doom says. If we don't try anything new, we'll never know if it was for the better or nit.

Keops being an old fart who never get the hang on pouet we all know. But why would someone new to pouet want to start changing it? Why not just go create your own playground where you can moderate anything "offensive" (jews, polish people etc).

scamp: just turn off external images for pouet.net ffs. you may not like some posts, and you can turn them off. you can even block certain users, and da da! all the texts are gone too!
but preventing "other" people to see these posts just because your beloved topic looks worse to them is nonsense.
what you request is the right to shut people's mouth. what you have to do is to close your own ear.
