68060 ATX Motherboard.
545 GBP (790 EUR) for mainly
68060 @ 60 MHz, MMU+FPU,
64MB RAM, CD-ROM 56x,
3.5" Floppy, 20 GB Harddisk,
are not really checkworthy.

oh crap...I meant 68k ofcourse...yawn
yeah... having a 400mips processor against a 7meg/second chipmem bus would be great... we could even have enought free cycles on the chunky to planars to drive a raytracer in realtime XD
"Moreover, the ColdFire architecture has a product performance roadmap that extends beyond the 68K Family to provide 400 MIPS in the year 2001"
What is with coldfire in 2006? 800mips?
Imagine 400mips ATARI STE ATX motherboard...
What happen with Atari Coldfire Project???
I think maschines like that will be something like Pegasos Linux specialized for make money and put down price of board... In our "PC" world...

68060/80mhz
128mb ram
65536 colours at 1024 x 512 pixel resolution
20 kHz Stereo sound
QDOS+LINUX
It is not bad platform for demos I think... Little bit high price true...
BTW Sinclair QL was Linus Torvalds second computer.First was VIC20.

an Amiga Coldfire solution
Q60: some couple of years ago this may have sounded like a good config to set up a console or similar.
But IMHO it's quite a waste to try to earn a buck with this in the "real world".
Nice example is the Amiga One - OS 4 misery :/
