USB chip music card

category: general [glöplog]

My dream is something like that:

2x "OPEN" opl3 cores or SEGA´s MD Soundchips in FGPA connected via USB with PC/MAC/AMIGA/ATARI FALCON/....

Tracker+Synthesizer+Live Act Sequencer (controlable with gamepad)

I can do plastic box design - I'am mechanical engineer.
And GUI Design+Concept.

I NEED Somebody who is OPL3 or Yamaha YM2612 Coder.
Damn Good Soundchip Coder...
And FGPA CODER...

Check this VHDL YM CHIP:http://www.fpgaarcade.com/ + click library.

Sorry for my Kung-Fu Grammar...

AFAIK most of sound chips these days used analog synthesis, so if that's the case, you aren't going to reproduce them using digital FPGA's.

If I'm not completely wrong the YM2612 is a subset of the OPL2 (YM3812) which is a subset of the OPL3. It seems that Amstrad used the OPL2 in their Amstrad Mega PC as an replacement for the YM2612 AND for the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_SN76489]SN76489[/url]
... for the YM2612 AND for the SN76489.
we still need to do the petition for hardsid usb.

Yep, use OPL2/3, don't rape Mega Drives.
Get some clue (erm, information) at http://www.ucapps.de/.
is it rape when they're asking for it?
