Whining (BP06 Amiga videos)

Yes, I AM going to whine about it.
I KNOW it's a huge job to edit and encode all video captures from BP '06, but why on earth did the organizers choose to release videos of all Amiga productions with a slight "hum" to the soundtrack?
You COULD have fixed the cable (or whatever went wrong here) or had someone else do the grabbing - sure, it would have postponed the date for releasing the videos, but the results would have been so much better, IMHO.

These are the videos we showed in the compo. This went wrong during capturing on the party and wasn't noticed till it was too late.
Most of the capturing equipment is borrowed, so we can't simply redo this at home.

Iam sure they will be replaced if you make better rips.
If it's just a 50hz hum, it can be easily bandpassed out with some sound editing... if you really care, that is :)
Yeah, I'll give that a try - if that does not work, we'll try to rip the demo ourselves.
just 50hz hum? usually i have to filter 50,60,120 and near frequencies.
nutman, maybe convincing bartman/abyss to release demo or die vol. 5 containing the amiga demos from the bp compo? but in fact i don't really know what's his procedure for grabbing to DVD the amiga entries...
for a batman group DVD we got down here in spain (yet to upload it to scene.org), what was done is to simply hook up the real amiga to a phillips DVD-recoder and it did a pixel-perfect one-frame recording for all the demos
