partycompo field

moi,

i'm gonna add a partycompo to the prods to help clear out the mess with cross platforms demos and wild compos and what not that you can witness on some party.php

it'll be drop down selectable non mandatory when you add a prod, and it'll be [+] available for any registered user to add info about that is missing, only mod/admin/glop will be able to alter it once its set though.

anyways, i need a list of _all_ compos that ever existed on any party. so, i'll start with a few that pop into my head right now and i'm counting on your help to let me know which ones are still missing (that are required for some obscure party which had them)
there is only the requirement to make the paltform distinction in parties with multiplatforms, so what im gonna do is set normal demo, intro and then pcdemo, pcintro and stick with whats best depending on the actual party.. as long as every entries on that party from same compo follow the same entry everything should be cool..

right now i have:
none, wild, animation, alternative, dentro, fastdemo, fundemo, textmode, pcdemo, pc64k, pc128k, pc100k, pc4k, pc1k, pc256b, pc128b, pc512b, amigademo, amigaintro40, amigaintro64, c64demo, c64intro, zxdemo, zxintro, zx4k, zx128b, zx512b, zx256b, cpcdemo, ataridemo, atariintro

what did i miss? and what is redundant.
fundemo, in case you're wondering is for that category on hungarian demoparties.. not sure if its called fun or joke or lame anymore though.. a confirmation on that would be nice since im abit lazy to check antiq results file right now.. =)

none... please make sure GloModAd can change "wrong" information to none (or unset). I missed that feature sometimes when "repairing" some prod-info.
For the list: 0a000h had 32b and 64b intros. Mainly for PC but when a ruling C64-thingy was handed in they've shown it.

and: THANKS ps.
How could I forget my (second) best party-ruling? OHP-compo. Or counts that in funcompo?
playstation compo (at least 2 ms around 2000) and dreamcast compo (tUM last year, sadly only one entry).

What about parties with combined platforms?

Like, "Demo", "Intro" or "current hw"/"oldschool demo" or sth?

I sense things getting somewhat complicated here ;)

hm

Perhaps it would be better to keep a list of compos per party. Yes I know this is way more code (and some serious javascript/php trickery in submitprod.php to make that dropdown box magically change its content ;).

i guess it'd make sense to add atari128b, atari4k, atari96k, atari192k

Don't forget the 'blender' and 'wildcard' demos from Pilgrimage. These were BRAND NEW CATEGORIES! They have nothing to do with 'fast compo' or 'wild demo' at all! They're BRAND NEW ORIGINAL IDEAS! Really! If you think otherwise you're EUROTRASH!

Sorry sorry, bad truck. BAD Truck. No cookie.
And I still don't know what a Wildcardcompo is. Not even Wikipedia could tell me that. In my mind I can see people throuing lots of * and ? around.

And Truck: After watching the good demos from Flash Party I think it's now clear which part of the Panamerican scene dominates. ;)

java demo
tp3 had 80k pc intros but that's probably getting too anal.
if you're breaking down demos by platform, there are probably going to be a bunch more (just review the current platform dropdown list).

Console only demo.
oh right.. accel demo, non-accel demo (e.g. asm99), oldskool demo..

if i were in charge i probably would've given up by now. :)
