greets graph

No SQL skills here, so that's not going to help :) But great that the data is public of course. So I'll gently nudge you for that interface update...
Would also be cool: some "confirmed no greetings" state you can set (override-able in case of mistakes), so people can differentiate between a production that hasn't been handled yet, and one without any greetings.

I've done the first part which is adding the read-only-current-state interface. Will try to do what you asked today ;).
"Confirmed no greetings" would be nice, yeah. I've though about it, and also about moderating adding greetings. There should be workflow like "no data whatsoever" -> "some data, but not verified" -> "verified by someone we trust". I'm not sure how the final version of this should look like, and how to get there iteratively with the resources I have.
Maybe I'll add a field like "this prod is finished". With no greetings added it will mean that there were no greetings. And verification will come later.
I would definitely benefit from also supporting scene-id logins. But that's a big can of worms, I'd need several hours to just wrap my head around it, and also register with scene.org and then somehow set it up for testing...

@Seven: I added something just now. Please take a look and check whether it serves your purpose.

Have no fear! Here's a demoscene-friendly interacive SQL tutorial I wrote some years back: http://iki.fi/sol/g3/

Provod: works like a charm, thanks!
@Seven: np!
Also, I've ran into a first case of a group missing from pouet, but being present elsewhere, e.g. on demozoo: Porcos Prod (it is greeted in Persistent by Wike & Ukonx).
I wonder how many such cases there are. Please report here if you run into a similar situation.

So far I assumed names that didn't trigger suggestions were individuals, I'll check on demozoo in the future.
Question: I noticed Creative Block/xy didn't bring up the suggestion box, and using the PouetID brings up a page without the screenshot. I thought this was because it's a 4K exeGfx, but some other exeGfxs are recognized. so maybe it's just too recent? Any danger of breaking the DB if I add greets to a previously unknown prod ?

I've mentioned before that NoSYS Productions is a music label that exists in Demozoo but not in Pouet, and also was greeted at least in Intrinsic Gravity info file.
Also, a lot of groups was mentioned in The Fall (its greetings list is really, REALLY huge) like BaaS, Bünzli Orgas, simulaatio.org, etc, this list is still quite incomplete (there are also groups that weren't listed anywhere, or just stylized greets like Cheshire Cat).
By the way, if searching an author that was greeted by another author, every position from the field "Prod makers" leads to https://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=undefined despite the fact what group is it.
That's why I suggested to start with Demozoo database (more prods, not only executables but also musax, pictures, tools and other stuff that may have greets inside, more groups, sceners list, etc.) OR at least add an info section for the whole prod, not only greeting position (for documenting where the greetings list was taken, and how many groups are missed, probably for something more).
Sorry for double posting.

@Seven: The database dump that's used there is from late April, so newer entries like Creative Block/yx are not there.
I will update it (and also add a long requested feature of searching by acronyms like TBL, CNCD, TPOLM, etc) as soon as I find time to figure out how to do this reliably and automatically w/o corrupting the db ;).
@100bit: Thanks! It does make sense to try to also incorporate Demozoo database too. I have trouble finding public dumps, though. Will try harder and/or check whether their API is CORS-friendly later.
The "unknown" thing has a known fix, will deploy as soon as I'm able to.
Free-form greetings and comments make sense. Will consider.

@Provod: the group Arf!Studios is in Demozoo but not Pouet (greeted in Moral Hard Candy)
Another one: Oasis is in Demozoo but not Pouet (greeted in 303/Acme)
Subliminal is in Demozoo but not Pouet (greeted in Paper/Psychic Link & Acme)
And a complex one: Destruction (DST) is greeted in Bomb/Impact Studio, the group is in Demozoo but not Pouet, but was renamed to Tribute, which is in Pouet.
I would just put Okkie in the middle of the graph, surrounded by countless greetings arrows pointing toward him.
Should be fairly easy to do.

Is "you" in the database?
@dixan "you" should resolve to the logged-in user (when I figure out how to integrate with scene-id)
@Provod: Do you still want to know groups present on Demozoo but not Pouet? I'm batching them so as not to spam this thread too much.
- Miumau (in Demozoo an alias for @) in Drift/Wild Light and X14/Orange
- Level-d and Acid Rain in Fall Equals Winter/replay
- Darkstone in X14/Orange
- Blend, FoV, Oxylon, Spin, and Voodoo Cult in Mindtrap/Trauma
- SoCs and Selleri in Elektroniks/Doomsday

@Seven: yes. I'd appreciate if this info is not lost until I find time to update the code to support it.
More Demozoo-only groups:
Earthborn, and Grillmeisters, in Fair Play To The Queen/Candela
Arf!Studio again in This Is/Orion and Purple/Orion
Clone Zero, Waht, and Zoran in Despair/Iguana
In Dis/Mandula, I think "Conteric Continuum" is the group Continuum, as the group names are sometimes combined or changed to make better anagrams.

Another dump:
- Turbulence in Dimension / Realtech
- There's a Redox greeted in DX Project/Realtech (1995) so I don't know if this is the Demozoo group with only one production in 2001, or an individual.
- Oxylon in Traumatique/trauma
- High Tech Team in DoWhackado / Renaissance
- Gazebo in Show/Majic 12
- Porcos Prods in Experimental/Wipe
- Unknown in This Way / Stravaganza
- Mega in Turtles All The Way Down / Brain Control
- The Demoniacs and Radiance in The Real Thing/Capacala
- Destruction in Blind/Eufrosyne
One group that is missing on both Pouet and Demozoo is Uranium92, greeted in Control by Green. I know it's a group because I used to drive to parties with the Green guys and they mentioned them.
BTW, a "checked production but contains no greets" option would be nice.
