POUNDS-OFF: The demoscene weight-loss platform for the lardy!
category: offtopic [glöplog]
dfox: probably not :)
Maali: here's your BMI
<3
dfox, what a weird filter-option:
bstrr: would you prefer danes?
Hmm.. after all this weight discussion I checked mine earlier. In the last few weeks I gained a few kg. But I've not been eating much, don't look fatter, and I've been doing a ton of heavy labour, so maybe I gained some muscle? Or maybe it's time I joined the site.
Btw, would it be possible to set goals for losing some diameter instead of weight? :)

If those numbers were representative...
Due to popular demand: you can now manage your body fat percentage
psonice: i guess i could add a waist/height ratio chart as well
But now the "progress since signup" broke, at least for me..
You're right. I'll fix it later today.
D.Fox: Thanks for the effort :-)
leijaa: it's working again
revival: thanks for participating :)

found a little bug:
when weight is gained it says "since since", when lost it is ok.

Sir: thanks for noticing - it should be gone now.
I have this Wi-Fi enabled scale by Withings. Can I somehow connect it to the Pounds-Off database? ~_~
Damn, even scales are rocket science these days!
elend: I have the same scale and already had a look at the API and it's indeed possible to connect those to pounds-off - but I think I'll spend my time at some other features first. Maybe later :)
Dfox: Haha, alright. It would be awesome, but yeah, I guess there are more important issues first. But at least you now know, that I'd use it, too. :D
BTW... those weight graphs are cheating just as much as your average graphics card comparison chart, by cutting of the lower range between 0 and x kilos.
That way the changes look a lot more drastic, of course, but... is this intended?

Saga: The alternative is this. Sorry, considering that people on a diet need all the psychological help they can get, I'm sticking with the "cheat".
it's all about scale! *bad joke!*
Saga: the scale takes your current weight and the next goal into account. If i'd chose a "final" goal, which in my case would be like 80 or 85 kg the chart would indeed be quite intimidating and frustrating. So, I choose near-term realistic goals to keep my motivation up.
Also - you're thin. Shup up ;)

Well, I was just wondering if it might appear like self-cheating to the people who actually need it. ;) Sure people need to be motivated, but if the change looks much more drastic than it is in reality, this motivation is probably a false friend? Dunno...
