kusma: generally not a bad idea, but
1st: I don't think ps wants to merge comments from 2 prods into one.
2nd: Some of the comments in the "final" would be obsolete in a merged thread => extra work for the guy from the southeuropean atlantic coast.
3rd: The final version is already linked at the original page.
conclusion: delete the "final"-entry or leave them like they are, all other would cost a lot of time.

ps: hey dude, i see we are nearing 15.000 prods in the database (wicked :), but it would be cool to see how many are in the different categories and what the trends are.

for example, pulling out the numbers for each cathegory/platform for each year/moths and building some graphs for the data.

if it's too much of a bother, just post the sql results and i'm sure someone can make some cool looking stats :)
