Breakpoint 2009 - Everything is under control
category: parties [glöplog]
hmmm, but the compotune was not a recording of the live act, or was it? because if it wasn't, it is NOT the same tune. it's more like a remix, which is not forbidden to enter.
Oh by the way, the full timelapse (tuesday to tuesday) has been released as well:

[22:13] <ryg> thanks for the money btw, we're spending it on coke and hookers over here in hamburg.
Yeah, donations can't go to waste!

it's important to have quality tools, you don't want any ... malfunctions ... at inopportune times.

what. the. fuck.
well, a qualified surgeon can do the procedure using only a scalpel, but we're no physicians.
Thanks for planting those images in my mind. no. really.
OISIN HALUNNUT TEHDÄ NE NÄNNILÄVÄRIT
only 3 € and very awesome. We've built killer machines with it.
And, it looks cool.
Breakpoint was a gr8 party as always! Thanks for stamping on the financial crisis with both boots!
If anything can be improved for next year, I suggest a level-2 FIFO freezer. This year's stack freezer didn't cope well with the high turnaround so much of the beer output was too warm.(Someone suggested I could work around the issue by asking specifically for a cold beer though, but I want implicitly cold beer).
Who were those nice guys helping out behind the desk btw? And why didn't that guy have any teeth left? Were they rebels? Maybe organizing the party has gone a bit too rough?

i guess with all the boots stamping on human faces lately, there are some victims.
loaderror: selling of drinks was also outsourced this year, just like the food has always been. we did this in order to take some load off the infoteam who has been doing that in previous years. they way it worked out this year (or, more exact: did NOT work out) of course was not what we wanted. the "nice" people doing the drink-booth were all hired low-cost workers of the local guy who also managed the other food-stands.
so, we're definitely going to improve on this issue next year. how this will look like exactly is yet not clear, but we surely know ourselves that it can't stay that way.
and as nice as it was to have less work with selling drinks at the infodesk, for someone doing events on a regular base it simply hurt watching them "work" ;)

i'm pretty damn sure a streamlined professional beer selling team would not have made the mistake to bring only one bottle opener to a party the size of breakpoint. the fact that this year's beer team was perhaps slightly less than adequately equipped enabled us to outsource subliminal marketing at a grand scale, for which i would once again like to express my gratitude towards the entire mcgoetz team. i sure do hope to see them back in action next year \o/
the beer dudes and dudettes rocked! have them back :)
please make bottle-collecting possible again next year!
one bottle opener? havoc, did you help them out with outline openers? :)
I didn't have any bad experiences with the drink tent, but then again, I only ordered beer/coke/water, so not much that could go wrong. When I came early Saturday morning and they couldn't break my €20, they just told me to come back with the money later (which I did). I like to be trusted and see it as a great compliment, so my overall experience was very positive.
like i said, we happily outsourced our subliminal marketing campaign :)
and btw, i can confirm what graga says- happened to me too :-)
Just prooves that recurring fuckups can be covered up by cunningly playing on people skills. Aha!
