considering that categories for platforms with dozens of original demos have been refused for years now... don't hold your breath.
Yeah i know... You linked to this platform earlier in this thread with lots of demos, and i just googled the name of the platform, Vector06c. Quite cool!
Deserves it´s own category even a little bit more than the little Dingoo. ;)
So pouet masters, why don´t you like to add demoplatforms? iPhone got it´s own pretty fast iirc... lol

You've got to realise that Pouet platform categories are not badges of honour or some kind of Pokemon collect-em-all exercise... they exist to help people find demos. Right now, a Dingoo category would not serve that purpose, because the Dingoo is not culturally or technically interesting to anyone but yourself. Perhaps some day in the future, when people are routinely asking things like...
"What's new on the Dingoo scene?"
"Have the Dingoo compo results been announced yet?"
"Did you hear? Someone managed to jailbreak the Dingoo's quantum coprocessor."
...then there might be value in a Dingoo category. But not yet.
To be honest, if I was responsible for adding platforms to Pouet, this campaign of yours would make me *less* inclined to add the Dingoo, because it's clear that you're treating that shiny icon as a goal in itself, and once you get it you'll have no further interest in fostering an active community on the platform.

Those are just the usual SDL garbage for dingoo's linux (called dingux).
Talking about categories: IRIX & Solaris ones aren't really necessary since the only prods available for those are SDL ports.

I'm all for any competition in the CPU arena, doesn't seem to be very competitive with 2006 handhelds at the moment, but who knows.
Add the category. Port mod player. Scene platform OK. :)

personally i'd say a platform is worth a new category if it has >10 demos, but oh well.
Maybe an on/off filter for <n demos? Nice stats page! That order could be nice when submit.

Platforms categories could use some fine tuning, especially think "wild" as type should be renamed as "movie" or "animation" but it's ok to have "wild" as platform, take this for example:
http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=50141
The type shouldn't be wild as it's a demo.
And i bet nobody gives a shit about (or even used) IRIX or SOLARIS, i don't eve think the FreeBSD category should be kept as nothing original was produced for it either (& it can run Linux binaries).
Oh no!
Dingoo is MIPS, pixels are shifted (see at the screenshots) with ledblur and creep tea, because of endianness. We have fixed this in the Led Blur version for SGI Irix (and this is the source one should use for big endianess) but now I can't download the source of it because it's in my suspended account (codeverse.gr). I can either wait few days for the problem to be resolved and send this code to the person who ported, or maybe I can compile it and change it myself and I hope the new versions can be uploaded in the dingoo file archive.

Right, I think only one category is good enough, we can regroup all Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris/IRIX's production in Unix/Unix-like category.
