My grandfather has three of those TRS-80 Model III's. They were the first computers I ever used and programmed on.
Sadly, I think they're all broken now, and he has alzheimers and doesn't use his computers anymore. =(

My High School had a lab of TRS-80 III's and IV's, a half a dozen Apple ][+ and //e's and a IBM System 36 mainframe to "play" on..
we had a Compaq Portable/luggable and a few LunchBox PC's at work...
not a 'grandpa's computer', but a fossil, yeah !
