The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die [album]
category: general [glöplog]
gloom: I think this album is not bad at all. Not to forget that we're all becoming older! ;) Just really compaire the ablums actually and judge them anew. I like all of the albums and the new one is a good mixture of the ol and newschool. Prodigy will always stay the masters of breakbeats for me. The louder you listen it, the more you get happy. the more you're drunk, the more you jump to the beat. :D perhaps we're only becoming to calm & audiophile for such stuff.
I saw them live right after smack my bitch up was released, and they tore down the house. I loved jilted and the experience, but I didnt like the fat of the land one bit. invaders must die is the track that restored my faith in the prodigy project. It kicks ass!
They had their time. Just like aphex twin and autechre. Face it: there's no real music now.
...serioulsy, how many times do I have to troll about hating metal? :)
But that's not too bad actually. ;)

Speaking of people past their (commercial) prime: Coincidentally, I just found out eminem has a new single out.
Gargaj: you had a twisted sense of music, so i actually muted my laptop BEFORE clicking the link. Well, the picture wasn't that disturbing, so maybe i'll try it with some soft volume setting too :)

It's a shame that while his flow is still p. much awesome, his beats seriously suck ass now :(
I still have some hopes for The Relapse though, it might actually not be another Encore.
And don't get me started on 50 cent >:(
Oh, and nutman, fair enough, I'll give the new Prodigy album at least one listen! (But after hearing all leaked tracks and singles I'm not sure if it will make a difference :))

The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die is as funky as the prodigy ever were. What exactly is it that people think is oldschool about this track? If there is any resemblence to tracks out it would be pendulu....ohhh...i get it. Pendulum sucks ass so anything that in the sligtest resembles their sound, sucks along with it?
How many artists can keep reinvent themself over and over and still be worth listening to? thank heavens the prodigy is not like that, and just make rocking music for people who like to dance and leave the feinshmeckers to their boring eastern european posts pop. I'm getting this fo shu...

As long as you don't bring the cd + boombox to outline everything is cool ;)
wut's a cd?
oh those. ...so...what are they used for? :p
Decapitation.
I HEAR THUNDA BUT THERES NO RAIN
Hm, listened to a couple tunes through youtube, and I have to say I liked the previous album much more. (Yes, the one that got generally bashed). This one doesn't seem to have any .. edge. or energy. or nuttin.

that's why you ditch everything but the vocals and use the acapella for mainstyle hardcore :D

I heard Smack My Bitch Up at the Kalvøya festival before it had been released (I think). It was the first track of the set and I was in the mosh-pit in front of the stage! That was chaos takeoff!
Anyways. Music is not the same to a 29.5 year old as to a 18 year old. I can barely play loud when I'm at home anymore :)

dead cash cows since fat of the land
yeah the fat of the land was sellout. totally. So what exactly is it that people think is wrong with the new material, apart from the fact that it kicks as much ass as jilted did?
i only heard Omen from the new stuff, my problem was that it had a great idea behind it but they made filler out of it, instead of the classic buildup they always had for songs. it felt like they wanted to rush through the song.
gargaj. try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTw2YvutJRA It kicks, ass. I love how the last part of the track reminds me of some of Tina Turners old melodies...in fact I think the whole....hmmm i need to go to my back catalogue and have a look at her stuff.
