It is interesting to see your reaction because usually it is me who is confronted with such accusitions (quote: "Adok... you learn everything word by word... that does not make you more intelligent" - tmb/scoopex) and I usually don't know how to react.
Oh, so the know-it-all Adok finally admits a weakness, well then, it all comes down to this: Whenever anyone announces his/her achievements, how ever good or bad, they're trying to prove their value. Repeatedly doing that means that it's a character weakness, it shows a lack of self confidence. Announcing achievements in the hope for getting recognition from people who don't care. But obviously that attitude will only lead to more and more mobbing. Doesn't it grow tiresome Adok? Is your constant posting actually the means for your real objective, seeking attention? Does it satisfy you to always run against a wall and be told to get lost?
The internet is darwinistical in nature. You've been marked as the weak one, not suited for the surviving fittest.
Strong-willed characters don't have to prove their accomplishments to anyone, they don't constantly announce their strive for becoming better at anything, and most importantly, don't feel the need to compare themselves to anyone. Because they know their value. Try that for a change, will you? Leave us in peace.

Actually I have the impression that YOU are the one who constantly seeks to compare himself with others. I don't care about e.g. "people who are better than me" (as you commented in the thread about the demos and games created by students of my university in courses related to graphic programming which I did not attend because they were not mandatory in the study programme I pursued) or whether my degree deserves being called a "first class degree". But I am interested in learning more about other people at pouet.net, whether they took their studies seriously or whether other things were more important to them (if they studied at all) etc.

The way you keep quoting "first class degree" hints that you don't know the expression... you think that's something special? Something I wrote to boast? It's just a simple fact that belongs in a CV. What do you expect when reading a CV? You're not the target audience.
