Long terms of service, so did you guys read these?
did you? anything interesting there?

The site doesn't run ads, and seems to have no income, no investors, no liquidity, but offers to pay musicians "for free". It offers something that may or may not be viable to turn into real world currency, but there seems to be no information on how these get allocated per-play, there's no data on what the pay-per-play rate is, whether it's equal rate across artists or whether some artists "earn" more than others.
This is like the shareware version of the music industry that has the actual money-related features disabled.
Well Gargaj, I've got 4k together now, so just 6k to go and then I'll withdraw them to an Ethereum wallet I'm creating in the next few weeks, and then see what is going on. In my mind, I'd rather have crypto than euros - i.e., why sell 1 ETH for 400 EUR if it could eventually be double that - holding onto crypto is more interesting than paying bills with it.
At one point in time, 1 Bitcoin was enough to buy a fully souped up iMac Pro (16000€) - now it is considerably less, but if I had had 1 bitcoin and sold it for 200€, I'd have been a fucking idiot when it was worth 16K€. ya know?
if at least 3 of my pals make big buck with it i will start looking into it. kinda how i got it on with distrokid.

in crypto? no idea. it's volatile.
The page El Topo linked lists 1700+ "crypto"-currencies so far...
...and the most worth of it was the most known (not the first, tho!) of it, being the BitCoin of course, peaked at ~16k. But went down as soon as people bought in after big media-presence, mistaking it as "same as tradtional stakes"...everyone knew this day would come, BC is still on its way to ~21k in the end, which is in "some_future", depending on how fast computers will get in the next years and on if quantum-computing is going to kill it before or not, altho the manifesto says it´s not vulnerable to qc!
...about the other ~1700 CCs there would be way more to read than possible for one human being to make oneself a picture, so again: i guess i didn´t say anything at all (nagz didn´t say yet!)
P.S.: I´d still buy fizzerCoins and strongly suggest any Demoscener to do so aswell, as soon as it´s available! ;)
Fizzer just keeps growing, we all know that! ;)
Invest and grow with him! :)

what would its worth depend on?
or is it some sort of a betting currency? vote now and if you got the results right, the CC named after you will go up in value! (i would invest in 'random-joking-fakeprodcoin)

You could have thought about it for more than not even 7 minutes and concluded that if someone like fizzer would make a CC it would make sense in the first place and would be grounded on deep knowledge of Cryptography (Authentification, Integrity, Non-Repudiation, etc.) and on a high IQ having thought about it until the end of its lifetime! Then your answer would have been == "" , as you would have tried to be the only one mining this CC for as long as possible! ;)
I would have said buy HardyCoins, but with my reputation.... ;)

Registered and now in a waiting line..
I like that it is free to add music unlike spotify/itunes.
Shared revenue for playlist makers could help marketing, which would be great.

too much "could"/"would" in one sentence! :p

You should make a demo about this. Looks very MFX'ish.yay almost at 5k notes. and the tokens can be exchanged come september-october, depending on which currency exchange picks it up. i guess could then try and exchange it for ethereum.
Gargaj: stop whining and surf the wave! Create your own p̵o̵n̵z̵i̵ ̵s̵c̵h̵e̵m̵e̵ cryptocurrency, SceneCoin for example, and give one to everybody sending you 50 Euros.

It is their own, called NOTES, which apparently 10,000 NOTES = 1 ETH.
gonna see how to exchange 10K Notes for 1 Eth when I reach 10K. should be interesting to see if there's a fee or anything like that.
It is just a wish that these tokens will have that market value I think...why do you need to earn tokens? why you won't earn ETH directly? ...like here BCH https://www.yours.org/
but I don't know...maybe the whole world will be tokenized once
Heh, small world - I've been working for Gareth Emery who is one of the co-founders of Choon for around 10 years now. He's all in on it for sure!
so.. where does the money come from? am i mining monero while i stream or sth?

i guess he's gonna be pretty serious about it. at least seems so, right?

says here
Streaming as Mining
Streaming As Mining is a five-year introductory aspect to the Choon ecosystem, will represent the easiest way for artists to acquire cryptocurrency. In total, 40,000,000 NOTES tokens (50% of the all time fixed supply) will be distributed to artists using Choon, split pro-rata daily based on number of streams.
something something. i now have 7,543.55NOTES so that's hardly more than none.
Why not pay the artists with actual money?
fizzer: i imagine that'd be quite expensive
Quote:
So they share their revenue with the artists, that is great. But where does this initial revenue come from in the first place? Do they run ads, or do they sell premium-accounts?Streaming as Mining

Oh wait. They just created 40m random crypto and they give half of them away. I guess that will work in todays heated cryptomarket.
If only glöps were backed by a blockchain! blkpanther would be rich.
