It seems pretty obvious that fall brings out the creativity in people. Lots of nice stuff in this thread lately, keep 'em coming!
Have a nice night! http://tinyurl.com/j9e5uth
aqu: get lost.
@aqu: i second quisten. #StopSpambots
After I lost track I was curious how the scenes in our "Super Medium" Demo evolved from the partyrelease to the final. So I took some before and after pictures. Here's the demo Link: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=68259
Left: Partyrelease / Right: Final
I think the liquid in the last scene could have kept some of that white glowing "hot" look... but other than that - I think it's mostly improvements ;)
And it's much more obvious if you see the animation running... :)

The slimy cube scene (comparison 18) turned out just gorgeous!
All those small extra details and tweaks did a lot of the whole feel to it!

1x: Great comparison, it has a lot of educational value for me. Amazing how much difference proper balancing of light/dark contrast makes!
See you at TRSAC ;)
satanic gameboy game?
less glow is more glow!
Now needs bees <3
mudlord: And honey dripping slowly from the top of the screen, looks nice
Not the bees!!!
@1x: I like the pure glow in the last scene more. Now it looks like slime. :)
... 13 ... :O coincidence?
@HellMood: don't think so :D
by the waaaay.... just tried to build tinyptc using Watcom C and it works, so...what about porting some dos demostuff to Windows? :)
p.s. and yes, I'm sooo lazy to code all that ddraw\gdi crap just for doing a quickndirty port :)

@1x: so basically you reduced the blurriness and the intensity in your HypnoGlow-Stage ?! As others including you already said: some scenes looked better with some more...maybe exactly between how it was and how it got in the final. Nevertheless, finals are always worth the extra-effort, you clearly proved it once again! :)
I am having the same problem of endlessly tweaking these values for every scene btw...with additional DoF enabled this gets even worse!
Time to code another IntroTool, the "AutoPostFXTweaker" i guess...will end in sth that completely drives these settings independently for each frame, based on previous and maybe even upcoming frames! ;) Need NASA-PC once again! As a Demotool this would be easy (taking upcoming frames into account), just let it run on a prod, shit out a parameters-table, implement it in the prod, done....for Intros maybe better not!
