That's the usual excuse from global warming alarmists. When you win the argument on the scientific points, they attack on personal points. (you're paid by oil companies, you are not a climatologist... and so on, even insults).

is global warming a fact = yes it is!
Is it a fact that humans cause it/are the primary reason = no it is not!
Are we part responsible for an acceleration of a natural cycle?=probably.
Is it a fact that earth has gone through several cycles some which were much warmer than now without the aid of our industry = yes, that is a fact.
Are there usually global cooling after the warm periods = it seems like it
Should we clean up the environment and spend all the billions on becoming sustainable, instead of spending them on selling eachother air? = the sooner the better!
Have I come to these conclusions because I am a scientists? No, but because that is what the facts put on the table so far demonstrates if you take the time to follow the debate, read the articles and ignore all the political clowns -be they left or right wing- who want to use this for their own political ends (both fascist in nature AFAIAC)

eebliss: That gif you posted shows temperature in only Greenland not globally, the medival warm period was a regional event, not global.
globally the temperature was lower then today in that period, while greenland was hot there were several regions in the world that got colder.
That cover the last 2000 years.
As for the last several thousands years, the next time there is going to be a major shift in temperature wont be until thousands, tens of thousands of years in the future.
Might as well make the best out of the climate before that.

well why don't you just SAY that then, instead of making a big joke of it ALL. I actually can respect the POV you just expressed: your stubborn refusal to play the same old systematic scaremongering game backed by political "science". You don't have to take the sceptics side on the debate either, because I agree that most of them (me included) are talking out of their arses on this matter, desperately scrambling for any counter argument they can to combat the well-organized juggernaut that is the bogus official line. The difference between the sceptics and the believers/government is that we're not going to try to use man-made GW as an excuse tax you into abject poverty and and restrict your freedoms - like the Church once did with Christian religion.
