Deathnote is sort of an exception. Rather a smart comics. However I agree with NeZbiE, it sort of went downhill after the first half.

Hmm... I bought the first three volumes of "Death Note" upon the recommendation of a giggly girl working at some manga store. To be honest, it doesn't do much for me. I much prefer "20th Century Boys", but unfortunately this latter series requires far too many trips to the dictionary, so I'm holding back until my vocabulary improves a wee bit.
