No gun would ever be banned in the US.

Uhm. You're talking about the land of health and safety, you know. Nothing is absurd here. Nothing. ;)

Fear is getting ridiculous. People should fight fear, not avoid it.

The UK has been its little puritanian monarchy for quite a while. Forbidding all sorts of things in the name of "children."

There are really some fucked up pressure groups in there.

Tell me of these "children" you speak of.

Yeah, all these states who take advantage of EU and despise it, they'd better leave, kthxbye!

Hm, apparently, banning christmas decorations is a widespread thing. Unemployment offices are banning them because they may offend those clients who can't afford their own. And many city councils can't afford to put up decorations in public spaces because of new health & safety requirements, and in some places they've simply been banned for safety reasons. I smell a conspiracy!

What if the existence of unemployment offices offend those who don't have a job?

well on the other hand, all stores set up huge flashy christmas trees from early november and they have santa-dressed marketing people jumping around to sell stuff. now try to explain to a 3-year-old that santa is a mysterious old man with a reindeer sledge who brings gifts in secret :)

But that has nothing to do with why they're banning the decorations (and slowly but surely everything else that's fun and therefore dangerous). Denial doesn't help.

"Is europe becaming a cheap usa wannabe?"

NO FUCKING WAY ! :)

Europe will be a cheap USSR, at the very best.
But most certainly without the Red Army, which -let's be realistic- takes away most of the fun...
