Adding 'Intellivision' to the platforms ?
category: general [glöplog]
A small but enthusiastic Intellivision scene is alive !
Some pretty nice prods have already been released and others are under construction (running well under emulators +and+ the real hardware via an Chad Shell's Intellicart).
Ok : mainly games ... but demos too ;-)
Any hope ?

Hmm,. something reminds me the name but I can't remember. What kind of hardware is Intellivision? A console or home computer? Attributes???

Well, I've tried to mail the webmaster (does it fill Analogue's inbox ?).
My own first demo is available here :
knox.ac.free.fr/files/spirit1_0.zip.
You'll need 2 Intellivision ROM files (exec.bin / grom.bin) and an emulator like Nostalgia, for instance (www.gotmaille.com/nostalgia).
<-- Optimus -->
This is a early 80's console from Mattel Electronics.
Some attributes : GI 1610 processor (895 Khz !) able to use 8-bit, 10-bit, 14-bit, and 16-bit RAM or ROM, 160x96x16 colors, 8 MOBs (i.e. sprites), ...
To know +almost all+ about it, you may have a look on the official website :
www.intellivisionlives.com.

Below is a link to a (pretty big) picture showing Jeff Minter having a look at 'Spirit'. That was at the 'Alternative Party 2003' this week-end. Unfortunately, I did not attend myself :-(

Wow! Who of these guys is Jeff Minter? The one with the glasses which face is not visible or the fat guy to the right?
who's the young lady next to jeff?
She's a Finnish Inty fan. She took her console + Intellicart + laptop to show some stuff on the actual hardware ...
what young lady?
Man, that's one BEASTLY looking woman. Run away! Run away!
I will add her to my cfemales site :)
