Are most Pouet users a little dumb?

So I try to inject some humour into the scene with joke threads and Pouet users flame me. So I try to start some serious scene discussions, and Pouet users flame me.
I also realize that a lot of the topics I raise and the Fearmoths demos too, go over the heads of most Pouet users. I suppose satire, parody and irony is a bit too advanced for your level. You're still at the mental age where you laugh at fart and penis humour.
As for the serious topics, I figured I'm expecting too much from you. It must also be very hard for you to participate when your entire vocabulary consists of "leet" misspellings, acronyms and buzzwords like:
Pron
STFU
Troll
Retard...and so on.

I also used to wonder why so few people responded seriously to any threads. I thought it was because you were unruly, but I figure it's because you don't understand and you get frustrated when things get too complicated for you.
I apologise for challenging your inferior intellects, for trying to inject some controversy, diversity and humour into your online (and only) existence. It must be frightening for you.
I'm sure I will get criticised for this and called a "troll" or whatever. I'm sure there will be many dumb replies, but don't worry. I understand that this is just your simple way of communicating. Humour, just like demos, is something subjective.
Don't expect other people to always like your humour or your demos. And don't expect them to give an honest and serious answer to questions that have been asked a thousand times before (see thread 'What the fuck do you want from scene', 'Is there any point in real-time demos'.. oh, and this one).

The same happened with my case. I guess, after a long time of lameness, they stopped taking me seriously :)
p.s. Humor and mocking the scene, but then again with some insightfull comments that makes me think. I love your style Shane! =)

i can't tell if the average pouet users are dumb or not but i can for sure tell that 99% of the pouet people does not have anything to do with the demo scene. they release some small crap shit productions and start to write stupid posts on pouet, well, that could be considered as being dumb.....

That's a very common myth about Pouet I keep hearing from sceners around. And this annoys me a lot because it seems to be so imaginary and unbiased but it keeps staying around because everybody says that! Com'on now, much much more than 1% here are sceners who have produced something decent and you know it. I see a lot of well know sceners around this place, people I have regularly met on parties, which belong in well or not so well known groups!
Even the very unkown people here on Pouet have once created something for the scene. There are a lot of unknown nicks around, which make some people say "What has xyz or uvw produced? I haven't heared of them before..", but personally I discover from day to day that I wasn't aware that even trolls, gloppers and unknown lamers participated in scene productions. Except if these are crap and crap is not a production. And who decides if someone is a scener or not? ;P
Perhaps 99% of the Pouet users are truly sceners, it's just that there is 1% of them, the so called trolls (Oh,. count me in!) which spend 99% of their free time mocking with the scene ;) Perhaps we are all just a little dumb to keep posting in a site with only 1% of "true" sceners. (And where is the rest of the scene located on the net then?)
